Prepare shampoo solution according to the manufacturer’s instructions 9. Check colour fastness using shampoo solution on a white cloth in one corner 10. If applicable, remove stains 11. Pre-spray any heavily soiled area with shampoo solution 12. Wet and prime shampoo brush before starting 13. Starting at an area furthest from the door, clean in overlapping passes to cover all parts of the carpet 14. Avoid splashing walls, furniture, and adjacent floors 15. Clean corners and edges using a hand scrubbing brush dipped in shampoo solution 16. After scrubbing, remove as much water as possible using the wet suction machine 17. Rinse the carpet systematically with clean water 18. Remove as much water as possible using the wet suction machine 19. When finished, remove plug from power socket and recoil the machine cable 20. Pile brush the carpet whilst the carpet is still damp 21. Return furniture to original position, placing legs on pieces of card, foil, or plastic 22.
